La Alcaldía de Masaya, en celebración del Día de la Dignidad Nacional, este 4 de Mayo Histórico, Heroico y Victorioso, abrirá las puertas nuevamente del edificio en donde por varios años funcionó la Alcaldía Municipal.
La antigua casa de estilo neoclásico, construida con los sistemas de adobe y talquezal, que sirvió a nuestro pueblo como oficinas de la Alcaldía Municipal y museo continuará sirviendo a nuestro Pueblo en las Victorias de la Dignidad, la Esperanza y la Paz desde la promoción de la Cultura popular nicaragüense como Centro Cultural “Alejandro Vega Matus”, cuya primera etapa estaremos inaugurando, este 4 de Mayo.
Este Centro Cultural es parte del Circuito “Manos Creativas”, de la Red Nacional de Ciudades Creativas. Esta primera etapa consiste en la reconstrucción de la parte frontal, que incluye el edificio de dos pisos que fue restaurado completamente, aquí se instalará el museo – galería de los Héroes y Mártires.
Además, el Centro Cultural contará con un nuevo Teatro para quinientas personas, etapa que estará dando inicio en el mes de julio en conmemoración del 43/19.
